Tribal Bronze Hoe, Cameroun
A rare brass / bronze hoe with fine decorations and symbolic ornaments which indicate that it is from the savannas of the west, the Grassland in Cameroun.
Age: Est. first half of 20th century.
Measure: H: 29, W: 10, D: 17 cm – weight: 850 grams.
Condition: This Hoe appears despite its age with a beautiful ‘gold’ golden glow. Slightly verdigrised around the ornaments. Otherwise no damage.
Provenance: Belgian private collection and according to the collector’s heirs, this hoe was collected in situ in 1940.
